1.橡胶标准跑道全长为400米，应由两个平行的直道和两个半径相等的弯道组成。除 塑胶跑道草地跑道外，跑道内侧应用适宜材料制成的突沿加以分界。突沿高约5厘米，宽至少5厘米。
2.应在跑道内突沿外沿以外30厘米处测量跑道长度。如无突沿应在标志线外沿以外20厘米处进行测量。注：《国际田联的田径场地设施手册》含有全部有关跑道结构、设计、标记的技术信息。本规则给出了应该遵循的基本原则。
3.400米及400米以下各项径赛，每名运动员应占有一条分道，分道宽小为1.22米，大为1.25米，分道线宽5厘米，所有分道宽应相同。应按上述第2款的规定测量分道的长度，其他分道的长度应在内侧分道线外沿以外20厘米处进行测量。
注：分道宽应包括右侧分道线
橡胶跑道施工在 沥青或水泥基础上，基础做法与道路施工大致相同。基础表面平整度要求较高，以塑胶面层厚度一致，弹性均匀，对基础的质量要求如下：
坡度：横向<1%(弯道8‰、直道5‰、半圆区5‰)，纵向<1‰，跳高区<0.4%，表面应平坦光滑、排水畅通。
平整度：平整度合格率在95%以上，3米直尺误差3mm。
定位： 为准确施工及画线需要，应用牢固鲜明标志物标出跑道场地的四个半圆切线点和两个圆心。
排水：排水系统在大雨后二小时必需排出积水。在冰冻地区，沥青层与碎石层之间好加一层土工布缓冲层。沿排水沟槽的基础应做特殊防水处理。
强度和稳定性：基础应具有一定的强度和稳定性，表面均匀坚实、无裂缝，无烂边，接缝平直光滑。垫层压实，密实度大于95%，在中型碾压机压过后，无显著轮迹、浮土松散、波浪等现象。

Drainage: the drainage system must drain water two hours after heavy rain.In the frozen area, a layer of geotextile buffer is added between asphalt layer and gravel layer.The foundation along the drain groove should be treated with special waterproof treatment.
Strength and stability: the foundation shall have certain strength and stability, with uniform and solid surface, no cracks, no rotting edges, and smooth joints.The cushion is compacted, and the compactness is more than 95%. There is no obvious wheel track, loose floating soil, wave and other phenomena after the compaction of medium roller.
