今年来国外已将该技术应用于化工、制药、造纸、污水处理、海水淡化等各类行业中去了，其工作过程就是将低品位的二次蒸汽经过压缩机压缩，温度、压力提高，热焓增加，然后进入换热器加热、冷凝、以充分利用蒸汽的潜热。此工艺初系统开车启动需要新鲜蒸汽，在整个系统运行中只需要适当补给些新鲜蒸汽（补给量不大）。
